I am doing a PhD at ETH Zurich, Switzerland on the topic of climate variability in the Arctic over the last 100 years using historical upper air and reanalysis data and with climate models. I would like to look for periods in long control runs with an anomalously warm Arctic, as well as looking at the manifestation of the Arctic warming of the 1930s and 1940s in the 20th century runs.
